What this site is

Bunk & Bedtime publishes editorial buying guides about children’s beds, bedding, desks and storage. The content is general information, researched from manufacturers’ published specifications and from public safety guidance, and offered in good faith.

What this site is not

It is not professional advice. We are not medical professionals, sleep consultants, engineers or safety inspectors. Nothing here is medical advice, and questions about a child’s sleep, development or health belong with your pediatrician.

It is not a substitute for the manufacturer’s instructions. The assembly manual, the weight limit and the safety warnings that came with your bed are authoritative for that bed. Where our information and the manufacturer’s differ, follow the manufacturer.

It is not the regulation. Where we summarize 16 CFR Part 1513, 16 CFR Part 1213, ASTM F1427 or guidance from the American Academy of Pediatrics, we link to the source so you can read it yourself. Our summary is a summary; the source governs.

We are not a retailer. We do not sell anything. Orders, deliveries, returns, warranties and refunds are between you and the retailer you buy from.

Accuracy

We work hard to get specifications right and to source every safety claim. Specifications change, manufacturers revise listings, and products are discontinued and replaced. We cannot guarantee that every figure on this site is current at the moment you read it.

Verify anything that matters against the product listing and the manufacturer’s documentation before you buy, and measure your own bed rather than relying on a published figure where safety is involved.

If you find an error, please tell us — our editorial policy sets out how we handle corrections, and we would much rather hear about it.
